Sample knitted in Wood Nymph

Materials: 1 Skein Cat Mountain Fiber Arts Fusion 5 Texture Bundles (500 Yards, Worsted Weight).

Sample Garment knit in Wood Nymph.

US Size 9 Circular Needle, 24 inches long, 2 Stitch Markers

Gauge: 16 Stitches and 21 Rows = 4 Inches

Lay out the five balls of yarn that were in your skein, and decide in what order you would like to knit them. The sample is knit starting with one of the smooth yarns, and I alternated smooth and fuzzy for the first five sets of rows, then repeated the yarns in the same order two more times.

Cast on 168 stitches using long tail cast on. You may choose to place a stitch marker at the first stitch of the row to signal that you are at the end of the row. This is optional as you will also have yarn tails here making it easy to see where the row starts.

Join in the round, being careful not to twist.

You have decreased a total of 40 stitches and will now have 128 stitches on your needle.

Change to the yarn used for Rows 1-7. At this point I chose to knit each yarn until I ran out, which amounted to 7 to 9 rows for each yarn. Keep the same order that you used for the horizontal robs. On your final row, be sure to leave enough to cast off.

Row 71: *Knit 2, purl 2.** Repeat from * to ** around.

Row 72 and remaining rows: Repeat Row 71 (knit 2 purl 2 ribbing). Continue until you have run out of yarn or until the collar of your capelet is the desired length. Cast off all stitches in rib pattern. Weave in yarn ends.

Soak in warm water and wool wash or shampoo. Gently squeeze the water out and spin in your washer if desired. Lay out on a towel, pinning into shape if you wish.

This can be worn pulled down over your arms like a capelet or bunched up around your neck for a very smooshy and warm cowl.
